Daniel Boone Regional Library is proud to host Collection Development Strategies. This all-day workshop will focus on the reclassification of library materials using the book industry’s standard of organization (BISAC). We intend to discuss how materials selection, weeding and marketing are enhanced by utilizing this user-oriented classification system.

When: This workshop will be offered on Tuesday, October 19 and Wednesday, October 20. Each session will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Who: This workshop is open to Missouri public library staff only.

Where: Missouri public library staff are invited to participate in either session of the face-to-face workshop which will be held at the Columbia Public Library. If you prefer to participate remotely, you may register your library as a videoconference site for this workshop.

Meals: Lunch will be provided by Panera’s to those attending a face-to-face workshop session. You may elect for a vegetarian meal during your registration.

This workshop is made possible by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services which is administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the office of the Missouri Secretary of State.
